Happy April!

Updated: Apr 19, 2021

This card is from last year's Spring Paper Pumpkin Kit. This was my favorite, I think, and I thought you might like to see it!

I will be posting a Youtube video within the next few days, I'll also post the video here. If you like it, please leave a comment, and I would love to hear any suggestions on categories of cards you would like to see.

Check out my new Etsy shop, where I sell this style of card in a bundle, 3 cards/ 17.99 plus shipping.

Indi Da Woo Morrow, my little spring butterfly, giving me the stinkeye...

Welcome to Paper Thyme! I am thrilled that you are here! I am showing examples of cards I made from the Stampin' Up! Hydrangea Haven Bundle today, and it is beautiful.

I used Gorgeous Grape for the body, a small print paper from my stash and Basic Black for the layers.

I stamped the Hydrangea on the black cardstock with Whisper White Pigment Pad, and used

my colored pencils once that dried to color the Hydrangeas and leaves, sprayed with shimmer spray. I also added small crystals to the flower heads and the small petals; in the light, it looks like dew shining on a dark night. Inside, I used the die for the row of petals and cut it out of colored vellum. I used the petals on the front, scattering them as if they are falling.

On the inside, I used the cut-out vellum for a stencil and using Gorgeous Grape, stenciled a row of them on the left side of the white card and stamped the water color sentiment with Highland Heather and stamped the sentiment on it with Gorgeous Grape.

I also added one of the leaves to the bottom of the sentiment with a dark gem.

I used mini glue dots for the petals, and double sided tape for the layers.

The layers were: Gorgeous Grape - 5 1/2 X 4 1/4

Flower Print - 5 1/4 X 4

Black - 5 X 3 3/5

Measurements in inches.

Title: "Early Morning Sparkle"

Here is my second card, made with Basic Black cardstock, Whisper White, and the Hydrangea dies from the Hydrangea Haven Bundle, with a little help from a friend! I like to title my cards, and this one is "The Early Bird Gets the Nectar".

It is made with a star background die from my stash, Stampin' Up! glitter cardstock, which is attached behind the star cutouts. The flowerhead has glitter cardstock behind it, so it shows through the tiny holes from the die. The flower, leaves and the bird bird are colored with color pencils, (Primacolor), the shimmer dots from the Hydrangea Haven Suite. I have added some shimmer spray that I make myself to the front. It is not as gold as it looks, my new photo booth lighting REALLY made it sparkle!

(I'm sorry for the poor photography, new booth, haven't entirely figured out the lighting.)

The glitter cardstock is attached directly to the back of the background star cutout, although it doesn't look like it. I wish you could see the sparkle!

Inside the card, on the right, is a white panel for your sentiments, embellished with a leaf and small shimmer dot.

Inside on the left is a small flowerhead with a shimmer dot.
